Terms of Service

Last updated 23 September 2026

These terms govern your use of RentQ, provided by Crintea LTD. By creating an account you agree to them.

The service

RentQ helps landlords manage properties, tenants, leases, rent, maintenance, documents and compliance, and gives tenants and handymen their own portals.

Accounts

Keep your login details safe — you're responsible for activity on your account. Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Tenant and handyman accounts are free.

Subscriptions and billing

  • Landlords pay per seat each month: one seat for their own account, one per current tenant, and one per permanent handyman they choose to pay for. Temporary per-job handyman links are free. Archived (former) tenants aren't charged.
  • New landlord accounts get a free trial. After it ends, add a payment method to keep making changes — until then your account is read-only, and you can still view and export your data.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown before you subscribe and are fixed in your billing currency. Seat changes are prorated.
  • You can cancel any time from the Billing page; your plan runs until the end of the period you've paid for.

Your responsibilities as a landlord

You're responsible for the information you enter, for having a lawful basis to store your tenants' details, and for meeting your legal obligations as a landlord. Compliance reminders and guidance in RentQ are general information, not legal advice — rules change and vary by area, so confirm requirements with official sources or an adviser.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no unlawful content, no harassment through messages, no attempts to access other people's data, and no disrupting or overloading the system.

Your data

You own the data you put into RentQ. You can export it or delete your account at any time from Account settings. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle it.

Availability and liability

We work hard to keep RentQ running and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is”, and we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we aren't liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Ending your account

You can delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or leave invoices unpaid, and will tell you why where we can.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will notify you of significant changes. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Questions? Email privacy@rentq.net.
